I recently read an article written by Ed lane of BBC news about how technology is changing disaster relief. Areas without an Internet connection available to them would be able to communicate using a solar powered lantern. People would be able to send text messages, make phone calls, and even send important files. The Sunlit Solar Powered Lantern would make a huge difference to people in disaster relief areas and that they could communicate with the outside world.
